About Laura Gowing
Laura Gowing is a mom of two and the founder of Busy Benny, a brand inspired whilst surrounded by plastic wrappers and crumbs on a flight to Australia. She recognized the need for a safe, plastic-free way to keep kids fed and entertained on the go. Shortly after landing, she began designing what would become the Busy Benny Snack Box.
As reports of harmful chemicals in kids’ foodware continued to grow, Laura felt driven to create products that offer parents peace of mind—combining safety, sustainability, and everyday functionality.
When LA fires devastated local families, hearing that Busy Benny products were among the only belongings to survive, her purpose grew. Today, Laura leads Busy Benny with a commitment to resilience, responsible design, and supporting families when they need it most, and drawing inspiration from the wonder and curiosity of her own children, Benny and Ella.
